Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrival in Bagdogra Airport and Transfer to Phuentsholing
After arriving at Bagdogra Airport, you will be transferred to Phuentsholing. Upon arrival in Phuentsholing, you will complete the permit formalities and check into your hotel. Spend the evening relaxing and exploring Phuentsholing, the bustling border town with a thriving local economy due to cross-border trade. Overnight stay in Phuentsholing at an altitude of 300 meters..
Day 2 : Phuentsholing to Thimphu (5-hour drive)
Start your scenic journey to Thimphu, where the urban crowd and the hustle of Phuentsholing give way to beautiful natural landscapes. The drive will take you through broadleaf forests, alpine zones, villages, and towns. Enjoy roadside stops for tea/coffee, restroom breaks, and scenic photography at places like Chuzom, the meeting point of Thimphu and Paro rivers. Upon arrival in Thimphu, explore the city by walking, appreciating its unique blend of modernity and tradition. Overnight stay in Thimphu at an altitude of 2400 meters.
Day 3 : Thimphu Sightseeing
Spend the day exploring Thimphu, the main center of commerce, religion, and government in Bhutan. Visit the Buddha Dordenma statue at the top of Kuensel Phodrang Nature Park, offering panoramic views of Thimphu Valley. Explore Simply Bhutan, a living museum and photo studio that provides an introduction to various aspects of Bhutanese traditional life. Visit Zilukha Nunnery, known for its peaceful surroundings and beautiful views of Tashichho Dzong. End the day at Kaja Throm, the riverside farmer’s market, for fresh produce and local snacks. Day 4 : Thimphu to Punakha
Embark on a scenic drive to Punakha, crossing the Dochula Pass with its stunning panoramic views of the Himalayan mountain ranges. After descending into Wangdue and Punakha, visit the Punakha Dzong, an architectural marvel situated at the confluence of the Phochu and Mochu rivers. Explore the Punakha Suspension Bridge, one of the longest of its kind in Bhutan, connecting the dzong with nearby villages. Overnight stay in Punakha at an altitude of 1350 meters.
Day 5 : Punakha to Paro
After breakfast, retrace your journey to Paro via Dochula and Thimphu, stopping at Lamperi Botanical Park to enjoy its rich biodiversity. In Paro, visit the Paro Airport View Point, offering the best view of the airport. Explore Ta Dzong, the National Museum housed in a former watchtower, and the 17th-century Paro Dzong, a fine example of Bhutanese architecture. Spend the evening exploring Paro town, known for its handicraft shops and small restaurants. Overnight stay in Paro at an altitude of 2200 meters.
Day 6 : Paro Sightseeing - Tiger's Nest or Chele La Pass
This day can be spent exploring the iconic Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), a sacred Buddhist site perched on a cliff 900 meters above the Paro Valley. For those who prefer an alternative, an excursion to Chele La Pass offers spectacular views of Mt. Jomolhari and a scenic drive through rhododendron and pine forests. Overnight stay in Paro.

Note: The trek to Taktsang Monastery is a moderate to challenging hike, taking about 2-3 hours each way for an average hiker. Wear comfortable and sturdy trekking shoes.
Day 7 : Paro to Phuentsholing
After breakfast, drive back to Phuentsholing. This journey provides another chance to enjoy the scenic landscapes and stop at places like Kharbandi/Rinchending Gompa, a monastery offering panoramic views of Phuentsholing and the Toorsa River. Spend the evening shopping for Bhutanese souvenirs and agro products. Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.
Day 8 : Phuentsholing to Siliguri/Bagdogra
On your final day, drive from Phuentsholing to Bagdogra Airport for your onward journey, taking with you cherished memories of your Bhutan trip.

           To operate with a tour manager, we require a minimum of 20 passengers traveling on the specified date. If the number of passengers is less:

    • You can choose to move to the next available tour date.
    • You may switch to another tour of your choice on a Same date / different date.
    •  You can opt for a full refund of the amount paid for this booking. Note that we are not liable for any flight or train cancellation charges applicable to you in such scenarios.

    •     Management accepts no responsibilities for losses, additional expenses due to delay or change, missed connection, strike, weather condition, war, quarantine or other causes howsoever      caused, all such causes and expenses must be borne by the tourist.      Documents Required:

    •    Valid Passport/Voter ID- the expiry date of the passport should be more than 6 months from the Intended date of departure from Bhutan
    •    For children under the age of 18, passport or birth certificate accepted if the child is accompanied by the parents.
    •    Recent digital passport photograph is required to apply the permit
    •    For Infants carry 2 passport size photographs.

    • Tour advance booking starts 180 days prior to departure. Early booking is recommended to avoid last-minute compromises.
    • Tour booking closes 30 days before the scheduled departure date.

    • Cancellation Policy:

                     If the guest decides to cancel the tour, they must submit a written application along with the original receipt within the specified time limit. Cancellation charges apply as follows:

    • D-0 to 15 days prior to departure: 100% of Net Tour Price per person.
    • D-15 to 30 days prior to departure: 75% of Net Tour Price per person.
    • D-31 to 45 days prior to departure: 50% of Net Tour Price per person.
    • D-46 to 365 days prior to departure: 25% of Net Tour Price or Rs. 10,000/- (whichever is more).

                    In case the trip is canceled by management for extraordinary reasons, a full refund will be issued via account payee cheque upon presentation of the original provisional receipt. No additional      compensation will be provided by management

    Special Instructions for Bhutan Tour

    • Travel Permits:
    •    Indian nationals can obtain permits upon arrival, but it’s advisable to arrange these in advance to avoid delays.
    •    Food:
    •     During your Bhutan tour, you'll be enjoying pure vegetarian Indian food at hotels and local restaurants, as taking personal chefs is restricted.
    •   Clothing:
    •    Light and breathable clothes for summer (April to June).
    •    Warm layers for higher altitudes and cooler evenings.
    •    Thermal wear, gloves, and a warm jacket for winter (November to February).
    •    Raincoat and waterproof gear for monsoon season (July to September).
    •    Footwear:
    •    Comfortable walking shoes for city tours and Sturdy hiking boots for trekking and outdoor activities.
    •   Respect Local Culture:
    •     Bhutanese people deeply respect their traditions and customs. Always dress modestly, especially when visiting religious sites like Dzong’s, Monasteries. Guide will inform you in advance.
    •     Remove shoes before entering temples and monasteries.
    •     Do not touch religious artifacts and always walk clockwise around stupas and chortens.
    •    Guided Tours:
    •    Independent travel is not permitted. Tourists must book their trip through a licensed Bhutanese tour guide.
    •    Follow your guide's instructions closely, especially when visiting cultural and religious sites.
    • Photography
    •  Photography is generally allowed, but always ask for permission before taking pictures of people, religious ceremonies, and inside temples or dzongs (fortresses).
    •  Environmental Conservation:
    •  Bhutan places high importance on environmental conservation. Do not litter and avoid using plastic bags.
    •   Follow Leave No Trace principles when trekking or exploring natural areas.
    •   Altitude Acclimatization:
    •    Bhutan has high altitudes that can affect travelers. Take it easy upon arrival to acclimate to the altitude.
    •    Stay hydrated, avoid alcohol, and eat light meals.
    •   Health Precautions:
    •    Bring any necessary medications and a basic first-aid kit.
    •    Currency and Payments:
    •   The Bhutanese Ngultrum (BTN) is the local currency, and Indian Rupees (INR) are also widely accepted. Carry Indian Currency below 500 i.e. 100, 50, 20, 10 denomination notes.
    •   Credit cards are accepted in major hotels and shops, but it’s advisable to carry cash for smaller purchases and in remote areas.
    •   Internet and Communication:
    •    Purchase a local SIM card for better connectivity, All SIM Cards will work in Bhutan if you get your International Roaming (Differs from service provider to service provider) activated. It will not work without International Roaming.
    •   Safety and Security:
