Itinerary
Day 1 : Bangalore – Bagdogra
Today, you will depart from Bangalore to Bagdogra. After arriving at Bagdogra airport, proceed to Siliguri for breakfast. Then, continue your journey to Gangtok. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and enjoy an overnight stay in Gangtok.
Day 2 : Gangtok – Tsomgo Lake – Baba Mandir – Nathula Pass – Gangtok
After breakfast, leave by jeep for Tsomgo Lake (Changu Lake), Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir, and Nathula Pass. Return to Gangtok in the evening for an overnight stay.
Note: In case of landslides or other reasons, if Tsomgo Lake is closed, alternate sightseeing will be provided.
1. Nathula Pass visit depends on the availability of permits from the army and is subject to weather and road conditions. You need to bring 2 passport size photographs and Aadhaar card/Voter ID for the Nathula Pass permit.
2. Nathula Pass is closed to visitors on Monday and Tuesday.
Day 3 : Gangtok Local Sightseeing
After breakfast, proceed for local sightseeing, visiting Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok, Do-Drul Chorten, and Namgyal Institute of Tibetology. Overnight stay in Gangtok.
Note:- Due to local authorities' restrictions, large coaches are not allowed for local sightseeing in Gangtok and Darjeeling. Instead, smaller vehicles like 4-seater WagonR, 6-8 seater Sumo, Tavera, or Xylo will be used, depending on the group size.
Day 4 : Gangtok – Darjeeling
Proceed to Darjeeling. Upon arrival in the evening, check into your hotel. Enjoy an overnight stay in Darjeeling.
Day 5 : Darjeeling Local Sightseeing
Leave early in the morning at 4:30 am to visit Tiger Hill for a spectacular view of Mt. Kanchenjunga (the world’s 3rd highest peak). Afterward, continue with sightseeing, covering Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop War Memorial, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tenzing & Gombu Rock, drive past Tea Estate, and Japanese Peace Pagoda. Spend some time walking around the Mall and local market. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in
Darjeeling.
Note:-

Day 6 : Darjeeling – Bagdogra – Bangalore
After breakfast, proceed to Bagdogra airport. Board a flight back to Bangalore.

           To operate this tour with south Indian chefs & tour manager we required a minimum 20 passengers travelling at the particular date. If we get less number of passengers as mention above. Then you will have to opt for any one of the below options.

    Best Time to Visit:

                  The best time to visit Gangtok and Darjeeling is from March to June and from September to December. During these months, the weather is pleasant and ideal for sightseeing and outdoor activities.

    Cancellation Policy:

             If the guest decides to cancel the tour, they must submit a written application along with the original receipt within the specified time limit. Cancellation charges apply as follows:

    •  D-0 to 15 days prior to departure: 100% of Net Tour Price per person.
    •  D-15 to 30 days prior to departure: 75% of Net Tour Price per person.
    •  D-31 to 45 days prior to departure: 50% of Net Tour Price per person.
    •  D-46 to 365 days prior to departure: 25% of Net Tour Price or Rs. 10,000/- (whichever is more).
    •  In case the trip is canceled by management for extraordinary reasons, a full refund will be issued via account payee cheque upon presentation of the original provisional receipt. No additional compensation will be provided by management.

    What to Carry:

    1. Essentials:

    •  Nathula Pass and Tsomgo Lake: Ensure you have 2 passport size photographs and your Aadhaar card/Voter ID for the Nathula Pass permit. Nathula Pass is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
    •  Personal medications and first aid kit.
    •  Water bottles and hydration packs to stay hydrated.

    2. Health and Fitness:

    •  The destination at high altitudes. Ensure you are physically fit to undertake the journey.
    •  Carry essential medications for altitude sickness, headaches, and any personal medical conditions.

    3. Clothing:

    •  Warm clothing (jackets, sweaters, thermal wear) suitable for cold weather.
    •  Raincoat or poncho in case of rain.

    4. Footwear:

    •  Sturdy trekking shoes with good grip.
    •  Extra pair of comfortable socks.

    5. Miscellaneous:

    •  Torchlight with extra batteries.
    •  Personal toiletries and hygiene essentials.

    6. Cash and ATMs:

    •  Limited Availability: ATMs are available in Sikkim, but it’s advisable to carry enough cash for remote areas where card payments might not be accepted.

     

    7. Connectivity: 

    •  Only post-paid mobile phones work in Sikkim preferably BSNL, Airtel and Jio. As phones may not work in many places, keep your family members informed well in advance not to worry if they fail to contact you.

    8. Security and Safety:

    •  Follow instructions from security personnel and. Tour Manager’s without question.
    •  Stay within designated routes and avoid straying off the marked paths.

    9. Photography:     Don’t forget to bring your camera or smartphone to capture the stunning views of Mt. Kanchenjunga and the surrounding Himalayan peaks.
